ELIZABETHTOWN, N.Y. (WCAX) – Prosecutors rested their case Friday in Luciano Frattolin’s murder trial, with Frattolin saying he might take the stand Monday. Frattolin, 45, of Montreal, is charged with killing his 9-year-old daughter, Melina, last summer in the North Country. After the prosecution rested, the defense filed a motion to dismiss the charges, arguing the prosecution had not presented enough evidence to convict Frattolin. The day ended with the defense calling a private investigator as a witness to testify about the rock that prosecutors say Frattolin placed over Melina’s body. When asked by the judge whether he plans to testify, Frattolin said he needs more time to consider it, but he appeared eager in court to engage with the judge and evidence presented.
