Despite concerns that the conditions would affect the number of exhibits, 100 adults and children entered the competition, submitting 543 entries across 119 classes. The displays filled the show's marquee with flowers, fruit and vegetables, floral art, baking, preserves, wine and crafts. The trophies will be presented to winners at the Uplyme Horticultural Society's Autumn Show on Saturday, October 10, at Uplyme Village Hall. The horticultural society's chairperson, Karen Hicklin, said: "It was extremely pleasing to see so many entries to our Summer Show this year. "I'd like to thank all the entrants, volunteers, exhibitors and visitors who made the show such a success."
