Walker County Commission delays budget vote, extends data center moratoriumLaFAYETTE, Ga. (WDEF)- The Walker County Commission elected to delay a vote on the Fiscal Year 2027 budget last night. This is after the county had a two million dollar shortfall in their budget. It is unclear when this budget will come back up for a vote. Meanwhile, the Commission also approved an extension of their data center moratorium. It pauses any applications for a data center until the county can put in place zoning regulations.
