A small brush fire in Newhall temporarily threatened an elementary school Thursday night.
The Soto Fire was reported just after 10 p.m. Thursday, near Newhall Avenue and Carl Court.
The brush fire broke out in brush near the Newhall Mobile Home Park, before spreading uphill toward Dr. J. Michael McGrath Elementary.
