A person on a stand-up electric scooter died Friday morning after they were struck by the driver of a commercial truck in San Francisco, police believe. The collision happened at about 8:18 a.m. at Powell and Market streets, police said. "At this time, we believe that the person who was deceased was operating a stand-up electric scooter when a commercial truck involved in the collision struck them," San Francisco police Officer Robert Rueca said.
