Dollar General proposed for Northside Drive in MaconPlanning staff recommend rezoning the seven-acre property, but the developer would need additional approval before building the proposed 9,100-square-foot store.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission will consider Monday whether to rezone seven acres along Northside Drive for a proposed Dollar General.
The proposed site plan includes a full-access driveway from Northside Drive, a drainage retention area, landscaping and a screened dumpster enclosure.
The applicant said the commission suggested the 4111 Northside Drive property after denying a separate rezoning request for a proposed development at 4125 Northside Drive in 2024.
Traffic counters recorded an average of 11,142 vehicles traveling along that portion of Northside Drive during a two-day study August 4 and 5.
