For three decades, He Waka Tapu has delivered kaupapa Māori health and social services, supporting more than 10,000 people each year through primary healthcare, mental health, addiction services and whānau support.
While the project is expected to deliver significant benefits for Canterbury, He Waka Tapu says it has received no direct Government capital funding towards the construction.
For He Waka Tapu, the anniversary is not simply about celebrating the past.
It is about building the next chapter in a legacy of kaupapa Māori healthcare that continues to place whānau at the centre of everything it does.
