A Missouri man already being held in the Christian County Jail is facing additional charges after Hopkinsville Police say he cashed a fraudulent business check at a local truck stop.
Police said the transaction resulted in a financial loss to the business, which reported the incident to the Hopkinsville Police Department.
Investigators say Love’s security video showed Toner completing the transaction while providing the cashier with a false name and an Iowa driver’s license number.
On Thursday, detectives reviewed Toner’s clothing at the Christian County Jail and determined it matched the clothing worn by the suspect in the surveillance video.
Toner was already being held in the Christian County Jail on two Missouri arrest warrants and one Daviess County warrant at the time the new charges were filed.
