ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Meals on Wheels expanded in-person meal deliveries in Sandoval County and now needs more volunteers to help serve 330,000 meals this year. Earlier this month, the nonprofit expanded face-to-face meal deliveries from Albuquerque and Rio Rancho to Bernalillo and Placitas. “Meals on Wheels volunteers are really the heart of what we do,” said Shannon Kunkel. Kunkel said Meals on Wheels also needs volunteers in the kitchen to cook meals, package food and drive deliveries.
