SGN is carrying out emergency repairs after the overnight on Thursday, August 6, crash damaged a gas governor and prompted emergency services to evacuate nearby premises. The damage cut gas supplies to about 190 nearby properties. The spokesperson added: "Due to the damage to our network infrastructure, gas supplies to around 190 nearby properties have been lost. "Thank you for your patience while we carry out these essential repairs to our gas network." It is unclear how long repairs will take or when gas supplies will be restored to all affected properties.
