Salad and Go, the drive-thru salad chain built around affordable, health-focused meals, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and permanently closed all 70 of its locations, with final guest service held Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Founded in Gilbert in 2013, Salad and Go grew into a drive-thru-only concept that served more than 60 million meals over its 13-year run.
"This is a painful day for everyone who built, worked for, and loved Salad and Go," Tattersfield said.
We are proud of what we built together and grateful to every team member, guest, and partner who believed in it."
Some questioned the timing of the announcement, which came just a day before the chain's final day of service.
