The city has opened registration for its fall lineup of recreational programming, offering more than 11,000 classes, workshops, and events for residents of all ages and abilities. The offerings span 78 parks, eight recreation centers, and six aquatics facilities throughout the city. Officials are urging residents to sign up early, noting that popular classes and events tend to reach capacity quickly. The Illumination Series: Mini Golf, a glow-themed take on the classic game, will take place Sept. 5. The schedule includes the Zombie Run 5K and 1-Mile Walk on Oct. 10, the Pet Trick-or-Treat 1-Mile Walk on Oct. 24, and Trunk or Treat on Oct. 29.
