A Dallas school police officer was shot by a person he had stopped to help after they were found walking on an interstate, according to officials. A possible suspect is in custody. The shooting happened Thursday after Dallas Independent School District Police Officer Justin Jones was flagged down by someone who reported that a person appeared to be in crisis while walking on the interstate.
