A former Texas police officer has been jailed in northern Mexico after killing three members of his former partner’s family, shooting her in the head and fleeing toward the U.S. border with their 3-year-old son, according to local authorities. Chad allegedly went to the home to take his son to the United States. Authorities tracked the vehicle using surveillance cameras during an operation involving state security forces, the Mexican military and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The boy was found unharmed and placed in the care of Coahuila’s child protection agency. The child was also returned to Saltillo under the supervision of the child protection agency and a relative.
