Hyderabad:Students eligible for 100 per cent tuition fee reimbursement under the state’s ePASS scheme have been receiving only ₹30,000 to ₹40,000, forcing many to pay the remaining fee despite meeting the eligibility criteria, student leaders alleged on Friday. In a representation submitted to the Principal of JNTUH University College of Engineering Hyderabad, they urged the college to constitute a committee and write to the state government seeking release of the full tuition fee. The demand applied to BC community students with TS Eapcet ranks below 10,000 and SC and ST cmmuntiy students eligible for reimbursement irrespective of rank, as per government norms. A students’ forum said the issue has remained unresolved for several years despite repeated representations to the college administration, district collectorate and the ePASS office at Masab Tank. It claimed officials had advised the college to coordinate with the ePASS authorities to resolve technical and administrative issues, but no concrete action has followed.
