In recent days, as part of checks aimed at guaranteeing the free use of state maritime property, staff from the Local Maritime Office of Tropea proceeded to refer to the competent Judicial Authority two owners of bathing establishments who, with bathing equipment, were illegally occupying stretches of free beach located in the municipality of Parghelia, for a total of approximately 1300 square metres, returning them to public use.
In a first case the owner occupied, without any concession title, approximately 860 m2 of beach and body of water, through the installation of umbrellas and deckchairs and buoys and buoys, in the second case however, despite the presence of a concession, when the occupied area was measured, it was 400 m2 greater than the concession title.
The equipment was then seized and the areas cleared, returning their enjoyment to the community.
Again as part of checks on bathing establishments, 4 fines were also imposed for violations of the bathing safety ordinance, for a total of 4128 euros, to various establishments on the Costa degli Dei.
