Terence Perkins, of no fixed abode, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, August 4. The 41-year-old is charged with, and denies, threating a person with an offensive weapon, in Ventnor, on April 26. He is also charged with assault by beating and common assault, on the same date, at the same location. He is accused of threatening a woman with a metal pole after turning up at her home unannounced and slapping her young son across the face. His case was adjourned for a trial on November 25.
