(KLKN) — On Aug. 3, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office notified the public of a possible mountain lion sighting. Today, the Nebraska Game and Parks confirmed the sighting. Sam Wilson, Furbearer and Carnivore Program Manager with Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, said the mountain lion near Seward County was most likely a young male. While this mountain lion has most likely left, Wilson said any individual who sees one should never approach and should make sure there is an escape route for the mountain lion.
