Fire crews tackled a serious blaze at a commercial property near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday (August 7th). Crews were called to Rooksbridge Garage at 3.18pm after flames and thick smoke were seen by passers-by. A fire service spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Two fire appliances from Cheddar and Burnham-On-Sea were mobilised to reports of a fire. The fire service added: “Cylinders were also inside the garage and being cooled, prompting a hazardous materials officer to be mobilised to the incident.” At 7.55pm, the fire service told Burnham-On-Sea.com the incident was complete and was brought under control.
