Unlocking the Factory SpecsSince 1986, Mercedes-Benz AG and its predecessor companies have meticulously stored all relevant vehicle data in a digital database.
If you order a birth certificate, the document will verify:The original Vehicle Identification Number (VIN or FIN).
For older classic vehicles built between 1946 and 1985, owners can simply order a traditional data card directly through their local Mercedes-Benz dealer.
