An aircraft departing from Poplarville Airport was involved in a crash in Lancaster County that left two people injured. A Beechcraft 55 Baron, registered to Pressley Aviation Flight School, took off from Poplarville, Mississippi, at approximately 8:17 p.m. on Thursday, July 2. The aircraft attempted an emergency landing at Lancaster County Airport shortly after midnight on Friday, July 3. Being unsuccessful, the plane crashed into a hillside and caught fire. The current condition of the pilots has not been disclosed.
