Published August 7, 2026Funeral Services for Patricia Oliene (Sheffield) Whitfield, age 86, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, at 10 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mill Creek Baptist Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 67 years, Shane “Bud” Whitfield of Picayune; her sister, Penny (Johnny) Kilpatrick of Montgomery, Texas, and her children, Shane (Ellen) Whitfield of Athens, Tenn., Bradley (Delilah) Whitfield of Stafford, Va., Troy (Tina) Whitfield, Tracy (Shona) Whitfield, and Kristy (Danny) Bryant of Picayune. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua (Kayla) Whitfield, Caleb Whitfield, Elisha Sullivan, Daniel Sullivan, Ashton (Austin) Dickerson, Drake (Heather) Whitfield, Lexie Whitfield, Kiley (Michael) Gagne, Lindsey Lee, Morgan (Caleb) Morales, Grayson Whitfield, and Kaysen Whitfield, and her great-grandchildren, Violet Whitfield, Camellia and Lily Dickerson, Allyn and Benny Morales, Miles Gagne, Lucy and Samuel Church, and Charlotte Whitfield.
