Our educational system must first determine whether the learner has acquired the knowledge, competencies and intellectual tools we promised to teach. A National Assessment CompactI would therefore propose that Ghana convene a technically led National Assessment Compact, bringing together NaCCA, WAEC, GES, the Ministry of Education, universities, Colleges of Education, educational psychologists, psychometricians, teachers, parents, students, mental-health professionals, and employers. Our educational system should tell every Ghanaian child:how well they have learned,what they can do,where they need help, andhow they can improve.
