Farrans has been appointed to build new skylink walkways at London Stansted as part of the airport’s wider transformation programme. Glenn Gilmore, regional director at Farrans, said: "Passengers arriving to London Stansted will already be able to see that we are mobilising our site in preparation for main works to begin during this exciting period of transformation for the airport." Skylink construction will begin later this summer, with sections pre-assembled offsite in a vacant airport hangar. London Stansted served 30 million passengers in 2025, making it the third-busiest airport in London and fourth in the UK. The airport offers 200 destinations across 40 countries and serves more scheduled connections to Europe than any other UK airport.
