A ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday afternoon marked a new beginning for neighbors in Parkwood Village, who’ve gone from looking at a block full of vacant homes to preparing to welcome new neighbors into those homes. Mayor Brandon Scott joined several city leaders and leaders with Blank Slate Development to unveil eight newly renovated homes that were once vacant homes. The developers worked with the Parkwood community and renovated 8 vacant homes. Mayor Scott said the work to transform vacant homes in the city will continue.
