Morocco’s police (DGSN) arrested a 25-year-old Dutch national in Oujda on Thursday pursuant to an international arrest warrant issued by the National Central Bureau in The Hague for his alleged involvement in organized crime, security officials said. The suspect, who has been residing illegally in Morocco, is wanted in the Netherlands for alleged drug trafficking, unlawful detention, and acts of violence committed as part of the activities of a criminal network. During his arrest, police also seized a quantity of cannabis. Morocco’s National Central Bureau (Interpol Rabat) notified its Dutch counterpart of the arrest to initiate extradition proceedings. The suspect is now in police custody under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office pending extradition.
