ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a nationwide increase of 75 paise per unit in electricity rates. According to the official announcement, the price hike is due to the monthly adjustment for June. The increased rates will be reflected in electricity bills for August. The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested an increase of Rs. Prior to this, in May, the electricity rates were increased by 34 paise per unit across the country.
