Klumppace said she first saw “Rent” in 1997 and fell in love with the musical. Since its debut, “Rent” has become a cultural phenomenon earning the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and multiple Tony Awards. Prior to playing Roger, Lormand said he had never seen the musical but knew some of its music and enjoyed it.
