(Two Rivers Correctional Institution)A Jefferson County man has died while serving a prison sentence in Eastern Oregon. Albert Thomas Gregory II, 81, died Aug. 5 while in hospice care at Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla. According to Jefferson County court logs, Gregory was serving a 25-year sentence after pleading guilty in May to first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, first-degree rape and 14 counts of first-degree sodomy. The sentence was imposed under Jessica’s Law, which establishes mandatory minimum prison terms for certain sex crimes involving children younger than 12.
