RCT partners with Third Street Family Health to offer rides to medical appointments

A new partnership between Third Street Family Health Services and Richland County Transit is aiming to bridge the gap for patients without reliable transportation.
Since May, Third Street has contracted with RCT to provide scheduled rides for patients living and receiving care in Richland County.
RCT now handles all of Third Street’s patient transportation within Richland County as part of a six-month pilot program.
“Before, around 97% of those transports that we were providing were here in Richland County,” Goff said.
RCT transports Third Street patients with the same vehicles and drivers that run its dial-a-ride program.
