At the time, I thought of leadership mostly in terms of responsibility.
What I did not yet understand was how often leadership is tested before the visible moment arrives.
However, I do think it wise to name a few difficulties with this leadership skill.
And once something comes into view, the most useful thing a leader can do is often the least dramatic.
Looking like a deer-in-the-headlights when the moment demands leadership is not always caused by some grand mistake.
