MANSFIELD — If you plan on attending the North End Farmers Market this month in Mansfield, don’t be surprised if you smell a fresh, summer meal coming together packed with vitamins and nutrients. OhioHealth’s diabetes education team is hosting live cooking demonstrations at the farmers market this summer to encourage the community to make healthy eating choices. Fulk says the main ingredients of the dishes are purchased at the farmers market, meaning they’re in season and typically lower priced. For those who want to keep learning, Mansfield Hospital offers diabetes self-management education, outpatient medical nutrition therapy, and a diabetes prevention program. The cooking continues at the farmers market Aug. 13 and 27.
