(Kanosh, UT) — Nearly half-a-million acres of land have burned in Utah so far this year. That number includes the 106-thousand acres that have burned as the Widemouth Two Fire continues to grow in Millard County. It’s now 19-percent contained and is larger than the Cottonwood Fire that burned to its south earlier this summer. By this weekend, the Widemouth Two Fire is almost certain to become Utah’s largest fire of 2026.
