President Donald Trump on Friday publicly called for U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro, to reopen prosecutions of alleged vandals at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. After Pirro’s office dismissed the charges against four alleged vandals of the Reflecting Pool, Trump publicly revived the dispute in a post on Truth Social, pointing to new evidence of damage and calling for new prosecutions. “Now that people are able to see it up close, they are reporting pure VANDALISM at The Reflecting Pool,” Trump said, along with a post from freelance photographer Andrew Leyden showing pictures of the damage.
