Peace Pole to be Unveiled in TilburyA special celebration is being held in Tilbury this weekend. The Rotary-sponsored Interact Club of Tilbury is holding a Peace Pole dedication ceremony. The Peace Pole is a new permanent community landmark to promote peace, unity, and global understanding. Peace Poles stemmed from a Japanese grassroots organization called May Peace Prevail On Earth International. Organizers say there are now roughly 200,000 Peace Poles in communities around the world.
