A PAISLEY man who walked thousands of miles across the USA to raise awareness of mental health is set to receive one of Renfrewshire’s highest honours. Craig Ferguson has been nominated for the Freedom of Renfrewshire after raising more than £1.3 million for mental health charities and helping increase awareness of men’s mental health. The honorary title is the highest civic honour Renfrewshire Council can award to an individual or group and has only been given six times previously. Craig Ferguson has been nominated for the Freedom of Renfrewshire after raising awareness and funds for mental health charities through his walking challenges. She said: “Craig has been an inspiration for many people across the world and his work raising awareness of mental health issues should not go unrecognised.”
