West Midlands Fire Service extinguished the fire ( National Highways )National Highways West Midlands said in their latest post online: “Lanes 1 & 2 (of 4) remain closed on the #M6 north between J4A #M42 junction & J5 #SuttonColdfield following a fire resulting in damage to the road.
National Highways West Midlands are issuing traffic traffic updates.”
Motorists are advised to follow National Highways West Midlands for traffic updates.
Bright orange flames and smoke could be seen coming from the lorry between junctions 27 and 26, according to pictures released by National Highways.
