Onlookers are calling the crowd in the main ring at the Royal Queensland Show for day one of the stud beef judging one of the biggest they've seen for many years. Added to the crowds is the World Charolais Congress, which has attracted hundreds of overseas visitors and exhibitors to the Ekka. View + 7 PhotosAnother of the prominent onlookers, spotted at the Santa Gertrudis judging, was Broncos star forward Payne Haas and his family, who were supporting a friend who was leading a bull in the ring. Payne said he enjoyed seeing this side of Queensland when it was in town. The opening of the stud judging comes on top of a huge few days already in the ring, with junior judging, parading, led steers and auctioneering attracting record entries and plenty of support from rural and regional attendees.
