A man who reportedly attacked another person with a weapon was arrested by a SWAT team at a Waukegan home Friday afternoon. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was requested Friday afternoon to assist the Waukegan Police Department at a home in the 600 block of Mill Court in Waukegan, which is near Powell Park. The Waukegan Police Department is a member of the sheriff’s SWAT team. Lake County Sheriff’s Office Chief Christopher Covelli said a person was barricaded after committing an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The man was transferred to the Waukegan Fire Department and was transported to Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.
