Wildfire risk intensifies across the U.K.: LexisNexisWildfires pose a growing risk to the U.K. insurance market, with the region recording 4,659 incidents in 2025, up 41% from 2018’s previous decade high, according to U.S. firm LexisNexis Risk Solutions Inc., Insurance Times reported. Roughly 39 of those fires occurred within three miles of London’s city limits, indicating that wildfires are no longer strictly a rural phenomenon, according to the research.
