Dunfermline owners James Bord and Evan Sofer are extending their football ‘portfolio’ with a stake in Bordeaux. That decision has been appealed to the French National Olympic and Sports Committee in the hope the ‘The Girondins’ will be reinstated to the fourth-tier Championnat National 2, in which they finished second in 2025/26. The stake agreed by Park Bench is unclear, but they already have minority shares in Bulgarian outfit Septemvri Sofia and Cordoba in Spain. Park Bench and DunfermlineThey arrived with the intention of utilising their data and AI knowledge to make improvements with the Fifers. A consortium led by Park Bench was also named as the preferred bidder for Sheffield Wednesday in December last year but that deal collapsed in February.
