(East Oregonian/File)PENDLETON — Pendleton’s inaugural Assistant City Manager Charles (Chuck) Byram announced Friday, Aug. 7, his plans to retire at the end of the month. Byram, who stepped into the assistant city manager role at the end of March, will retire effective Aug. 31. He left that position to become the first-ever assistant city manager to City Manager Robb Corbett. City Manager Corbett and the existing administrative team will manage the responsibilities of the Assistant City Manager position while the city evaluates next steps.
