HERMISTON — The Hermiston City Council will continue its discussion Monday, Aug. 10, on a proposed local improvement district (LID) for E. Jennie Avenue. At its July 27 meeting, the council voted to continue the discussion at its next meeting after a property owner requested the city come up with an alternative method for assigning improvement costs to the five property owners affected by the proposed LID. Property owners would have the option of paying their entire share up front or over a period of 10 years. Among the property owners are development companies. The council meeting is at 7 p.m. at Hermiston City Hall.
