A 14-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday, July 30, and charged with reckless endangerment after he crashed his moped into an NYPD vehicle in Corona.
Police officers from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights were traveling in the vicinity of Northern Boulevard and 101st Street in a marked patrol vehicle just before 7:30 p.m. when the crash occurred.
EMS responded and transported the operator to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
His passenger was transported by EMS to Harlem Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
The two uniformed officers were transported to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
