The Rockaway Film Festival (RFF) committee announced the lineup for their five-day annual celebration, which will take place from Wednesday, Sep. 2, through Sunday, Sep. 6 this year at the Arverne Cinema. There will be multiple films shown each day, musical guests and a series of workshops and Q&A sessions. Highlights include a free children’s screening of “The Muppet Movie,” featuring Miss Piggy’s creator, Bonnie Erickson, alongside other special guests. This year’s musical guests are alternative hip-hop artist Heems, composer and vocalist Frances Chang and White Magic, a psychedelic-folk group, as the festival’s closing act. Tickets are $10, but there are $99 and $299 passes available that offer special perks, including reserved seating, access to opening and closing night parties and special merch.
