A number of tenants at Hunter’s Point South Living – a massive 925-unit complex made up of the 37-story Hunter’s Point South Commons and the 32-story Hunter’s Point South Crossing – have complained that they have been trapped in the building’s elevators for up to an hour since the development first opened in 2015. Aaron alleged that the upgrades were associated with several outages, leaving just one working elevator for residents on the higher floors. He said the long waits and entrapments cause significant inconvenience for residents, a point echoed by fellow resident Chris Szeles. A spokesperson further stated that the ongoing modernization of the complex’s elevators means that Hunter’s Point South Living currently utilizes two different systems for the old and new elevators. But residents say elevator outages are just one issue facing tenants at Hunter’s Point South Living.
