Safety Inspection of Katra-Srinagar Rail Section ConcludesJammu- Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), Northern Circle, Dinesh Chand Deshwal on Friday completed the statutory safety inspection of the Katra-Srinagar section of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL), expressing satisfaction with the construction quality and safety standards of the strategically significant rail corridor. ADVERTISEMENTSenior railway and project officials, including Jammu Divisional Railway Manager Vivek Kumar, accompanied the CRS during the inspection. According to officials, the inspection included a detailed review of the railway track, tunnels, bridges, stations and other safety-related infrastructure along the section. The CRS also assessed signalling systems, operational safety protocols, passenger amenities and emergency response arrangements. The completion of the statutory safety inspection is a key milestone before the commencement of regular passenger operations on the Katra-Srinagar stretch of the USBRL project.
