The summer season ignites the beloved American tradition of barbeques and outdoor eating, meaning hot dogs served in hot dog buns. However, in North American grocery stores, hot dogs and hot dog buns are sold in different quantities. Hot dogs are usually sold in groups of 10 in the U.S. and Canada, and the buns are sold in clusters of eight. If you do the math, that’s one package of hot dogs and two packages of buns with six buns left over.
