Daylon L. Grandberry, a Dallas Police sergeant, faces serious allegations of taking a female officer’s phone, unlawfully accessing a locked gallery, and sending himself her “intimate” photos, constituting a “horrific breach of trust.” The organization said in a statement that Grandberry allegedly went up to the female officer and started asking “innocent questions” about the games on her device while he watched her enter her passcode, the New York Post reported. The subordinate allegedly agreed to let him download a game to her phone after the superior officer asked, and she gave it to him. Before returning the phone to the officer, he was able to send himself two texts containing the pictures. The DPWA has called for a third-party investigation, claiming that the department “fosters a toxic environment that devalues female officers.”
