According to the Council, the five individuals hold senior positions at Russian companies operating in the defense and military technology sectors.
These firms are involved in the development, production and supply of military equipment used by Russian armed forces in the war in Ukraine.
The individuals are also subject to travel bans preventing them from entering or transiting through EU member states.
The EU must continue increasing pressure on Russia until Moscow ends its war,” she added.
